The Knysna Cycle Tour is proud to partner with Fraaisig Primary School for the 2026 event. This year, the school takes the lead in hosting the Family Fun Cycle Events on Saturday, 11 July.
This initiative is about more than just a ride; it’s a catalyst for community growth. By managing the event, Fraaisig Primary creates a hands-on “internship” environment where local community members develop vital entrepreneurial and leadership skills. It is a day that brings together students, parents, and neighbors in a shared spirit of giving back and building a brighter future for our youth.

Empowering Our Community: Support Local Food Gardens
The Knysna Cycle Tour is proud to support Growing Upwards, a local initiative dedicated to building self-reliance and food security in Knysna’s vulnerable areas. Since 2020, this project has moved beyond simple charity by empowering residents to transform empty spaces into productive, life-sustaining gardens.
The focus is on long-term independence. By providing deep-level training, Growing Upwards ensures that community members have the agency and skills to manage their own futures. This empowerment happens through:
Skill Development: Comprehensive training in organic soil management, pest control, and crop rotation.
Economic Opportunity: Teaching essential business skills that allow gardeners to turn surplus produce into local micro-enterprises.
Lasting Ownership: Equipping neighbourhoods with the tools and knowledge to maintain and grow these gardens entirely on their own.
