1. General Agreement
By submitting an entry to the Knysna Cycle Tour (“the Event”), the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agree to the Race Rules, Indemnity & Waiver, Privacy Policy, and these Terms & Conditions. Submission of an entry constitutes a legally binding agreement.
2. No Refund Policy
All entries are final and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to withdrawal, illness, injury, weather conditions, route changes, postponement, or cancellation due to force majeure. Entries are non-transferable unless authorised in writing by the organisers.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is processed via Yoco or PayFast. By proceeding with payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and approve the full entry amount as reflected on the entry form.
Payment may reflect on your statement as Global Wave Internet Marketing (Pty) Ltd (GWIM). Online payments may require 3D Secure authentication (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode).
4. Indemnity & Waiver
Participants acknowledge that cycling events involve inherent risks. By entering the Event, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including travel to and from the Event.
Participants hereby waive claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in relation to the Event and irrevocably indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, sponsors, advertisers, local authorities, landowners, and all associated parties, including their directors, employees, suppliers, officials, marshals and agents, against any liability or claims of any nature whatsoever (including negligence, even gross negligence), including but not limited to injury, illness, death, loss or damage to property, costs, expenses, delay or inconvenience.
Parents/guardians authorising a minor’s participation consent to the minor being bound to the above and further indemnify the parties to the extent applicable.
5. Online Payment & Supplier Agreement
By completing payment, you acknowledge that payment processing is facilitated by GWIM and that the Event entry constitutes an agreement between the participant and the Event organisers. The banking institution is not party to the Event agreement other than effecting payment as instructed. No warranties are made regarding uninterrupted platform functionality.
6. Privacy
Participant information is used for Event administration, safety/emergency purposes, timing/results, and official communication. Information will not be sold. Limited sharing may occur with authorised service providers necessary to operate the Event (e.g., timing/results) in line with the Privacy Policy.
7. Rule Compliance
All participants must comply with the Event Race Rules, safety regulations, traffic laws (where applicable), and marshal/official instructions. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
8. Knysna cycle tour timing 2026
No official timing system will used for the 2026 event – We have created Strava segments for each ride that you may use if you have your own timing device and member of Strava,.
Note details on https://knysnacycle.co.za . Prizes will be awarded after the fun rides to those who qualify – not Strava related. Thank you for participating.
